First of all you have to Incorporate your Business Registration. You have many option to register your business.

  • Proprietorship Firm
  • Partnership Firm
  • Pvt Ltd Company or One Person Company
  • LLP

Registration for TAN (tax deduction Account Number) would be necessary, if you’re hiring even a single person. Sole proprietors do not need a TAN, unless their turnover exceeded Rs. 1 Crore in the previous year.

Registration of VAT/CST will be compulsory if you want to sell online.

Registration for Service Tax is mandatory, if you will be providing any services; though you can claim a one-time exemption of Service Tax on an amount not exceeding Rs. 10 Lakh in your first year.
